This event was strongly used as a venue by manufacturers and retailers of building products because wide-reaching changes are awaiting them in the nearer future. Thus, the new EU Construction Products Regulation that will fully enter into force on 1 July 2013 and the therefore newly established Product Certification Body of the MPA NRW were the main subject of conversation among the exhibition visitors.
The exhibition stand of the MPA NRW attracted the visitors’ attention and invited them to conversation. The MPA NRW presented its services inter alia with a graphic representation of the MPA-building, with fascinating videos of various tests on building products as well as the elaborately crafted model of the MPA-building. The presentation of the MPA NRW was rounded off by the lecture of graduate engineer Hendrik Rademacher in the “Open Tech Forum” on the subject of “CE-marking of building products and testing the reaction of fire behaviour”.
We were in many talks with the interested public. The deeply committed trade fair team of the MPA NRW could give many answers to questions concerning the new Construction Products Regulation so that this trade fair representation was a total success.
