The test specimens can be mounted into frames that are set before or onto the furnaces. Shortly after the fire test they should be dismounted so that the test specimen can be examined directly after the fire test.

The following frames are available:

• 200 cm x 250 cm (width x height) vertical building components, e. g. doors
• 300 cm x 300 cm (width x height) vertical building components, e. g. walls, glazings
• 500 cm x 400 cm (width x height) vertical building components, e. g. walls, glazings, gates
• 200 cm x 400 cm (width x height) horizontal building components, e. g. ceilings, roofs
• 300 cm x 400 cm (width x height) horizontal building components, e. g. ceilings or natural smoke and heat extraction systems
